Scar Release Therapy
Scars take on many forms, far beyond what the eye can see, including broken bones, sprained joints, torn muscles, inflammation, and even emotional events. Scar tissue, fibrous in nature, often diminishes bodily function and mobility compared to the original tissue. Throughout our lives we accumulate countless scars that impact our bodies in many negative ways.

Untreated scars and adhesions can compress nerves, affect muscle function, refer chronic pain throughout the body and reduce the flow of energy, blood, and lymph through the impacted area. Developed by the Center for Pain & Stress Research, the Dolphin Neurostim device is the world's first clinically backed Scar Release Therapy (SRT) device.

SRT utilizes Microcurrent Point Stimulation, a patented method designed to enhance the skin's intercellular metabolism, protein synthesis, and healing functions, thereby revitalizing its self-regeneration ability. By directly stimulating cells with microcurrent waves through scars, this non-invasive procedure reduces dermal trauma, adhesions, and fascia restrictions, proven to achieve 73.2% pain relief after a single application.
Within one Scar Tissue Release treatment, MPS therapy...
-
Helps to reduce the appearance and density of scar tissue regardless of the age of the injury
-
Decreases pain in connective tissue by releasing fascia
-
Speeds up the healing process of the wound and scar in newer injuries
-
Reorganizes scar tissue to allow the regeneration of nerves, lymphatic vessels, and energy flow
-
Increases skins inter-cellular metabolism and protein synthesis
-
Increases blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
How it Works
The treatment involves the simultaneous application of a safe, low level electrical pulse to each side of the physical scar. The microcurrent helps to re-polarize the scar tissue, allowing it to lay in proper matrix so that flow of energy, fluid, lymph, blood, and nerve connectivity can resume.
In one treatment, you will likely see visible changes in the appearance of the scar and will gradually notice a reduction in the tightness and restriction felt at the site of and nearby the scar! By reducing the scar tissue, it in turn releasing the muscles and fascia that are causing pain.

No matter how old the scar is, the MPS is still capable of making significant improvements.
About the Treatment
In general, this treatment is completely painless. The duration of treatment will depend on how long you’ve had the scar, how deep it is, and the severity of any pain you may be having. There is no expiration date on scar release.

In general, each session lasts from 15-30 minutes depending on the surface area being treated. Scar tissue & adhesions can be released in as little as 2-3 visits, and usually have drastic improvement in appearance, color, soreness, and tissue mobility of the within 1-3 sessions.

In my scar release treatments, I like to incorporate multiple modalities including MPS, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), and some hands on scar release massage to get the best results possible.
