This treatment is a combination of 45 minutes of lymphatic drainage and 45 minutes of deep tissue massage. Combining these two modalities has powerful effects on the bodies ability to detoxify. Our lymphatic system is our detoxification and immune system of the body. When manual lymphatic drainage is preformed, the speed at which lymph travels through the body is increased significantly. This powerfully removes excess toxins that are dispersed throughout the body, and generates healthy new lymphocytes for a powerful immune system. Who would benefit from this treatment? This is an ideal bodywork treatment for all people to receive at least once per year to maintain a healthy detoxification and immune system. For optimal health, I would suggest scheduling one Relax & Detox appointment for every change in season (4 times per year). This treatment also has sport enhancement benefits. For athletes seeking a faster recovery or in preparation a for sports event, this service is perfect. It works out musculoskeletal imbalances, and releases fascia restriction via the deep tissue work. Then follows that up by enhancing the detoxification pathways, therefore promoting faster recoveries and healthier fluid exchange in the body.
