Scar Tissue Remodeling
Gentle & Transformative
Service Description
Scar tissue work is my greatest passion. These sessions begin with a thorough intake to understand the scar and its effects. Tissues have memory, and after trauma or surgery, they may retain that memory, manifesting as pain patterns that affect other areas of the body. The goal of ScarWork is to help the body process that trauma, allowing the tissue to return to its proper alignment and re-establish a continuous fascia network that supports structure, signaling, and sensing. I also use Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) with a Dolphin Neurostim MC device to assist in scar healing. MPS re-polarizes the tissue, improving circulation, reducing pain, and promoting faster healing. It can even be used during the healing phase to enhance recovery and improve the appearance of scars, regardless of their age. The session concludes with an integration phase, which reconnects the scar tissue to the whole body. This involves gentle CranioSacral holds and energy work to help the nervous system process and adapt to the changes in the tissue. Scar tissue, though localized, can affect the entire body, and integration may include myofascial release in other areas to address compensatory movement or posture patterns. To support the nervous system, I use the Dolphin Neurostim device for Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS). Scar tissue can inhibit the vagus nerve, leading to chronic Sympathetic Upregulation, where your body stays stuck in a high-stress, fight-or-flight state. VNS stimulates the vagus nerve, which is key to the Parasympathetic Nervous System, responsible for functions like rest, digestion, and relaxation. By promoting VNS, we help restore homeostasis, stress resilience, and mental-emotional balance. This allows the rest of the work to go deeper, facilitating greater change and helping resolve the tissue’s trauma. Submit a Contact Form to make a booking
